Amazon Tour Follow Up...

Wow!  What a great time we all had yesterday at the Amazon Fulfillment Center!  Just about 30 of us showed up and were promptly greeted by their tour team and our tour leader BJ.

We saw how things are done from the moment a person clicks to order a product or products.  The facility itself is--get this--the size of 28 football fields.  We only were in a 'small' part of the center and most likely got in many steps (for those counting). The center operates 24/7.  It's climate controlled inside and quite comfortable. There is a full time maintenance crew in place.

As you can imagine, the busiest day there is.......Cyber Monday.  Amazon FC adjusts amounts of employees on site based by the expected demand for the period.

As a side note:  If you or any Military Vet you know might be looking for work, they are looking to hire thousands of vets.  The benefit package there is unreal.  Your benefits start on day ONE!

The tour lasted about an hour and below is a picture of the whole Festival Bytes group...taken by BJ. Notice...we're all still with our head sets in place.

To say the least, the facility is a very well oiled machine!
